I've been browsing for a black couch for what feels like years — and FINALLY found one that is modular (but not cheap looking), reasonably priced, great sized, and so so comfortable. This couch is perfect for hosting AND long weekend naps. Looks so sharp in my space and completely ties the room together. 10/10 would recommend!

Worth every penny! The hardest part was waiting for it to be built and delivered. Was eager to bring home. Couldn’t imagine my home without it! Thanks

Hi everyone! Writing this review just to help out some other people, and tell them transparently about my experience with 7th Avenue. I had my couch delivered yesterday, and they actually sent me incorrect parts. In addition, some of the parts don't fit together properly (I believe they must be defective). While this is something I would expect from a company like Wayfair I was extremely disappointed that this would be happening after waiting weeks for the couch to arrive. The couch overall isn't really that great of quality (nothing aligns properly on this couch...), but I guess it's not SUPER expensive, so whatever. I would say you could probably find a cheaper couch for the same quality level. It's also SO difficult to put together...which is a crazy misconception about this couch. If you are going to buy this couch PAY FOR ASSEMBLY. My main warning would be regarding customer service. I emailed the person who sold me the couch at the Nolita location last night very upset. I specifically asked if someone would call me to talk to me... no call back today. I called corporate customer service at +1 (877) 644 - 1506 to try to get help, they told me "their servers were down" and that they couldn't help me right now, and that they would call me back. They never called me back. I tried calling the Nolita store, no one answered. Left a message, no one called me back. I posted a review on Google Reviews and 7th Avenue basically gaslit me and told me that I must have called the wrong support number ( I didn't, I called the correct number – and since you told me you recorded the call I'm sure you can pull the call to hear your employee tell me your servers were down). The sales rep who sold me the couch eventually did shoot me and email to tell me he was "working on it". I do believe him. He seems like a nice guy, and it's nothing against him (which is why I will not use his name). He said they were too overwhelmed with the Black Friday Sale to address it immediately...ok (?) But overall just a really terrible experience. These people clearly could care less about their customers.

This is a very attractive sofa, of course there are many options for configuration and size. It took us a few hours to put all 5 pieces together; it wasn't difficult at all. For the price, it appears to be good quality. We haven't need to clean any spills yet, but that is certainly a selling point.

After doing lots of research for a pet friendly couch, I decided to go with 7th Avenue. I chose the performance woven pattern and loved the way it looked, but became frustrated with how my cats were destroying it. Even just the tiniest pressure with their claws would pull the fabric. I was upset, but 7th Avenue reached out to me and offered to send a full set of performance velvet covers, as that’s what they recommend for cat claws. I chose the green and it took me a little while to warm up to it, but now I absolutely LOVE it. The covers are so easy to clean, they look beautiful, and I constantly get compliments on the color. I’m very grateful to 7th Avenue for listening to my concerns and finding a solution. If you don’t have cats, the woven fabric is lovely too! But the velvet has held up perfectly against my cat’s claws.

I bought this couch in March of 2024 and it didn’t even hold up 6 months before starting to pill and fall apart. The cushions look like they’ve been in use for years, not months, the back cushions are lumpy and uncomfortable for people to lean against. This couch is not even close to being worth the price tag of a little over 2k.

We purchased the 5 seat L-shaped sectional and once we had the installer put the sofa together, the installer said "it looks like a back cushion is missing" and offered to contact 7th Ave directly to have the back cushion sent to me. After several emails back and forth, I was told that the sofa does not have a back cushion for the corner piece and the intention is to fill the void space with two of the throw pillows. Uh, it doesn't look right and it looks like a cushion is missing. I then had to pay for an additional back cushion to fit the corner space, Seems like a design flaw.

I have had this couch for 1 years but started having issues within 3 months. The first issue is the fabric cover. I purchased the oatmeal heather fabric and almost immediately the fabric started pilling horribly. I reached out to customer service and after multiple emails back and forth they sent me a second cover. Same issue. I have to fabric shave my couch at least once a week for it to look good. Super frustrating for such an expensive couch. My second issue is the couch is modular and in theory this is awesome but the mechanism that holds the sections together is weak/ poor design. My couch sits in the center of a room and not against the wall. I have to adjust the pieces almost daily as they move and the couch back is never in line. A few of the mechanisms have even broken from me trying to tighten them so they don't move so much. Really makes me question the integrity of the couch when it's almost falling apart after one year of use. It's super annoying on multiple levels. The couch looks nice and multiple people have inquired asking where we purchased. I can't in good conscience give this couch a good review because it looks like a cheap couch unless I'm constantly tending to it. And once you use and put the couch together you are stuck with it as there is no return option. I am attaching a picture of the couch after being fabric shaved and adjusted so it's straight along with others showing the issues.

I am extremely disappointed with this sofa, and after giving it six months of use, I feel compelled to share my honest review. When I purchased this sofa, I was drawn in by the promise of easy maintenance, stain resistance, and durability — all claims that, in my experience, have proven to be completely untrue. First off, the cushions constantly slide off, making it impossible to sit comfortably without having to adjust them every time I move. It’s a persistent annoyance that I did not expect for the price point. The cover material, which was advertised as water-repellent, has been nothing short of a letdown. Despite the "water repellent" claim, unfortunately my experience has been that any liquid that touches the fabric seeps right in and stains the cushions almost immediately. I’ve tried to be diligent with care — washing the covers twice in six months with gentle detergent, cold water, low tumble dry, and air drying as recommended. Unfortunately, this hasn't helped; the stain-resistant fabric has not held up in the slightest. Additionally, while I do have a dog, she is not allowed on the sofa and never comes near it. So, it’s not being subjected to excessive wear. Despite this, the fabric stains incredibly easily and is extremely difficult to clean, which contradicts the product’s advertised ease of maintenance. The fabric does not repel dirt or liquid in any way, and even small spills or marks leave noticeable stains that are very hard to remove. That said, I will give credit where it's due: Customer service has been excellent throughout the ordering process and in addressing my concerns. Their responsiveness has been prompt, and they’ve been easy to communicate with, which is one positive aspect of this purchase. Given the high price tag, I expected much more from this sofa. It simply doesn’t live up to its claims in terms of both functionality and durability. At this point, I regret this purchase, as it does not reflect the quality or performance promised in the product description. I would not recommend this sofa to anyone and strongly advise looking into other options, as this one has been a huge disappointment.
